The 2006 New River Birding Festival was a great success for the attendees. Of the numerous species seen during the week were an Eastern phoebe nesting in a hole in a large rock at Babcock State Park, a Blue-headed vireo nesting near the mens room at a picnic area in the same park, a cooperative Northern parula in the same area and Swainson's and Hooded warblers.

Thanks to Dave, Jeff and Keith for letting us know where these great birds were.
